10 DAY TOUR OVERVIEW:

10-Days Tanzania wildlife safaris and tours specifically include the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the world famous Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania. This specific Africa safari and travel itinerary has been designed for all visitors. The trip will start with hiking moment where you will have day trip to Mount Kilimanjaro from the main gate to the first base camp. It specifically includes the Tarangire National Park and has been designed to offer you a total Tanzanian northern circuit safari experience, while attempting to keep your non game-viewing travel time to a minimum. Also this gorgeous trip will take you to the famous park in this world Serengeti National Park, where you’ll be able to spot BIG FIVE animals. Finally this trip will take you to Zanzibar where you will rest after great game drive in wildlife zone.

DAY 01: Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport to Arusha

Time: 1 Hour

 Welcome to Tanzania. On arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport you’ll meet your company arranged driver who will transfer you to Arusha city to Glan Melia Hotel for dinner and overnight. Our driver will display your group name on signboard. These procedures ensure that you are picked up by the correct driver, rather than by some of the airport taxi drivers who are looking for business. You’ll get a chance for Safari briefing/introduction before your dinner.

DAY 02: Arusha to Half Day Mt. Kilimanjaro Trekking.

We will pick you up from the hotel at 8:00 after your breakfast from Arusha to Marangu gate. Hikking from the gate to base camp where you will be able to spot monkeys and other birds species during hiking. After lunch you will descend down leady to go back to Arusha for dinner and overnight.

DAY 03: Arusha to Tarangire National Park.

After breakfast the tour departs. First stop is Arusha Town for any last minute purchases before you head off on safari. Afterwards you head towards the Tarangire National Park for a game drive with picnic lunch at the park. Tarangire is well known for its huge elephant population and baobab trees. It forms the center of an annual migratory cycle that includes up to 3000 elephants, 25,000 wildebeest and 30,000 zebras. In Tarangire National Park northern Tanzania you will enjoy finest birding. The low baobab-clad plains and fever-tree groves here support many cool species including three Tanzanian endemics and near-endemics: Over 550 bird species found in the park including Ashy Starling, Yellow-collared Lovebird, and Rufus-tailed Weaver. The lush grasses are full of ground birds like Northern White-bellied Bustard and both Red-necked and Yellow-necked Francolins and many others. Later afternoon you will drive to Karatu to Farm of Dream for Dinner and Overnight.

Wildlife Highlights: Wildebeest, Zebra, Eland, Hartebeest, Lion, Leopards, and wild dog, Gerenuk, Oryx, Pythons, Gazelle, Buffalo and Abundant Elephant.

Birdlife Highlights: Yellow necked spur fowl, Northern white crowned shrike, Black necked weaver, White faced whistling duck, Red, billed hornbill, Pygmy falcon, African marsh harrier, Woodland kingfisher, Black headed heron, African Hoopoe, Yellow billed stork, Lilac breasted roller, Open-bill stork, Ostrich, Superb starling, Red Yellow Barbet.

DAY 04: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park.

After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, you descend into the heart of wild Africa the Serengeti National Park with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. Then heard to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti species. Arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti national park. Early evening you’ll drive to Oleserai Luxury Tented Camp for Dinner and overnight.

Wildlife Highlights: wildebeest Migration, zebra, lion,  leopard,  elephant‚  buffalo,  cheetah, gazelle, giraffe,  spotted  hyena,  jackal, Aardwolf, Serval, Agama lizard, rock hyrax, secretary bird, ostrich, black eagle & this is the most visited park in Tanzania; famous for massive migration of ungulates; more than 500 bird species.

DAY 05: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater.

After breakfast you’ll have morning game drive in the Serengeti National Park. In the Seronera Valley you might be lucky to see predators hunt as animals gather at the waters during the dry season. After lunch at a picnic spot you’ll slowly drive in the direction of the Ngorongoro Crater. As soon as you have reached the crater you will have a superb view of the caldera. This approximate 20 km wide crater is part of an UNESCO World Heritage Site and is home to over 20,000 animals. You’ll stay at Ngorongoro rhino lodge for Dinner and Overnight on the crater rim from where you will be able to enjoy an incredible sunset.

CULTURE TIME: The Ngorongoro Conservation Area was designated for the Maasai to inhabit when they were removed from the Serengeti by the Tanzanian government. Their villages (bomas) begin to appear on the eastern slopes of the Ngorongoro Crater as the gravel road descends to the plains around the Serengeti.  The bomas extend far out into the plains, where they graze their cattle. Bomas consist of thatch and brush huts encircled by a ring of brush. Often cardboard and refuse are used as fill in the structure.  In the huts a small fire is used for cooking. Just learn more about their unique culture, take photos and enjoying their dancing.

DAY 06: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha.

After an early breakfast with your picnic lunch box from your lodge, you’ll descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro conservation Area supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park, it dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. You’ll visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually been seen here. Late afternoon after extensive game drive you’ll drive back to Arusha. Overnight Glan Melia Hotel.

DAY 07: Departure from Arusha to Zanzibar

After breakfast our company driver will transfer you to Kilimanjaro airport depend with the flight time, here you will board your flight direct to Zanzibar

DAY 08: Prison Island

After breakfast you depart for Prison island tour in Zanzibar, it is an half day tour, Prison island is also known as Changuu island, the name prison island came after this unique island being used by some sultans of Zanzibar to detain the recalcitrant slaves, While you are on this Island, you’ll be able to swim, snorkeling and take pictures with giant tortoises, for sure, have a delightful swim, the wonderful snorkeling which will allow you to see the colorful school of tropical fish like black sniper, orange lined trigger fish, spotted garfish, barracuda, long-fin banner-fish, emperor angelfish, rabbit-fish, clown trigger-fish, blue stripe snapper. This tour will be the best for snorkeling lovers and as well as beach relaxers; however there are a lot to discover including historical sites and giant tortoises before you head back to Melia Zanzibar for Dinner and Overnight.

DAY 09: Relax on Zanzibar beach

You will have enough time to spend on beach today, this is the best beach composed with white sand, and you will have much time to swim if interest or just walking around the beach.

DAY 10: Departure
