Women Adventure Africa started with the principal purpose of empowering women in tourism industry. It then started by offering employment to female professional guides in Wildlife Safari guiding, Arusha town trips, Mountain trekking and Beach excursions (Zanzibar).
In Tanzania tour guiding has been in decades dominated by men. In this industry women have never get the opportunity to show worth ability of their career and contribute to welfare of the society and that of their families.
Women Adventure Africa providing opportunity of employment to women in Tanzania is a good start for the gender equality and respect to women. This will help the society to understand that women are capable of doing other professional earning jobs and keep on contributing to the economy and well fare of their society. Hence forth in the near future the society will realize loudly that women are not meant to become only house mothers as it is in Tanzania and Africa in particular “women are to do kitchen jobs only.”
