Posted onVerified My dream vacation in Tanzania! This was my first solo travel and thanks to Levina and her team, I had a wonderful experience. It was a last minute spontaneous idea, to fulfill my childhood dream, of visiting Tansania and seeing the Serengeti. Half an hour after my initial inquiry, I received an email, saying, yes we can make that happen, give me a little time. A few hours later I held the complete itinerary for my personal 18 day dream trip to various National Parks (including Serengeti) on the mainland and 6 days in Zanzibar in my hands. Because I was traveling in early November, with the begin of the little rainy season, it had to be a private tour, just me and the guide. Within an hour the flight was booked and the visa application done. The trip itself surpassed all my expectations. It was wonderfully organized, the safari was amazing, and I saw everythingI had hoped for.There was so much wild life, and the size of the herds never ceased to amaze me. The accommodations were beautiful, the food delicious, the guides amazing and very knowledgeable, and the people very friendly. Besides the game drives, I also did several smaller hikes to water falls and visited a Massai village and a coffee farm, where we roasted and drank coffee together and shared a meal. The last days I enjoyed beautiful Zanzibar with a visit to Stone Town and a spice farm. The entire trip was professionally organized and thoughtfully planned. Levina regularly touched base, to make sure that everything worked out well. This could very well have been a once in a lifetime experience, but I really want to do it again!I highly recommend Levina and her team if you consider a trip to Tansania, in addition to her outstanding work, that I can´t praise enough, I think that it is also important to support local businesses run by a woman.Posted onVerified A great trip to Tanzania and Zanzibar with Women Adventure Africa! ReviewThanks to Lavina Victor and Women Adventure Africa, I was able to have an unforgettable adventure in Tanzania and Zanzibar. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience!From meeting us upon our arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport in Tanzania, we were in the capable hands of Lavina Victor and Women Adventure Africa. We were a large group, over 60 people, including a number of teenagers. It was my third trip to Africa, and to be honest, I was a little apprehensive about the size of the group we were traveling with. Coordinating a group that large is not an easy task. My other concern was that we would be taking a Safari in April, during the rainy season (from mid-March to May). I can honestly say I did not expect to see as many animals as we did!The night before we left Arusha for the Safari, Lavina introduced us to our guides and drivers and they explained the itinerary. They assured us that we would be seeing many different species of animals. We left early in the morning in a caravan of 4x4’s to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The drivers were in constant communication with each other for the almost four hour drive from Arusha to Ngorongoro. Ngorongoro was amazing! We were blown away by the incredible array of wildlife that we got to see. We saw vultures, lions, elephants, zebras, Cape buffalo, giraffes, flamingos, antelopes, jackals, hippos, a rhino, and many more. The communication between our drivers and guides made a big difference. They were able to alert each other when they spotted anything interesting. They alerted us to a pride of lions around a dead zebra just a few feet off of the road, that we never would have seen due to the high grass. Only the elusive Leopard of the “Big Five” was able to avoid detection.Our guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the wildlife. Together, working as a team the guides and drivers were able to find the best viewing locations. They shared fascinating facts, assisted with picture taking, and ensured we had an outstanding experience. They made sure we all felt safe and comfortable throughout the trip. Thanks to Lavina and her crew, we had the perfect balance of adventure, education, and fun. We left with a ton of pictures and unforgettable memories from our safari with Women Adventure in Africa. Our Safari, was just one portion of our trip to Tanzania and Zanzibar. Women Adventure Africa made the entire experience truly unforgettable. The hotel accommodations at each location were excellent! Lavina not only coordinated the Safari, but, among other things, a trip to an Arusha Primary school, a trip to a Masai village, trips to various markets, a flight and stay in Zanzibar, a trip to Changuu Island, and our ultimate return to New York via Arusha. From the beginning to the end, she was in complete control. The trip turned out to be not only smooth and trouble free, but one of our best trips!I will likely return to Africa for another Safari with a smaller group, most likely to the Serengeti. My highlight was the majesty of Ngorongoro Crater and it's wildlife and ecosystem. The culture of people, particularly the Maasai tribe, the historical and beauty of Stone Town, Zanzibar, Arusha with it's lush vegetation and cultural experience. To top it all the kindness, courtesy and professionalism of the tour manager and her staff was excellent 👌Posted onVerified A Phenomenal Experience I shared this wonderful experience with my students. It was their senior trip. Visiting the Ngorongoro crater and seeing wild animals in their natural habitat was awesome. I viewed them from the roof of a jeep. I felt like a child again having a once in a lifetime adventure. I was within 6 feet of a lion! I even got to witness first hand how a lion take down its prey although I was sorry for that zebra. Another impressive visit was the Tanzanite experience. So happy to know that this precious gem stone still belongs to Tanzania! I enjoyed the accommodations in both Tanzania and Zanzibar. Tempo hotel is the place to be if you visit Zanzibar. The boat rides with local entertainment was so much fun. Shopping in the market in Arusha was a great experience. I found the vendors to be so polite. Visiting a school and interracting with the students was a delightful experience. I even learned some Swahili! An unforgettable expetience was visiting the Maasi village and interacting with their people. This was an eye opener for me because I never knew people chose to live such simple lives. I liked that they gave us a peek into their lifestyles and also entertsined us. We even shared in the entertainment. Overall, it was a phenomenal experience. Our party was large, 61 people and everything was well coordinated, from the pickup from the airport, to our safari. This was my daughter’s senior class trip and the first time for us both in the continent of Africa. Amazing sceneries of God’s creations- the valley’s, mountains, animals, the Indian ocean, etc. Our tour guides Levina and Tony were so pleasant, very knowledgeable and accommodating. I also did the waterfall tour which was absolutely amazing..it's a very hard hike!! However the guide was so patient. Pole Pole lol I definitely recommend them for bookings!! I would have expected the trip to be postponed but it wasn’t. That being said, my guides were so knowledgeable and accommodating. And the proprietor, Levina, just made the trip happen and worked with my errors and miscalculations! This was a great trip and a great company to work with.
