DAY 01: Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport to Arusha

Distance: 43 Km 
Time: 45 Minutes

Welcome to Tanzania. On arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport you’ll meet your company arranged driver who will transfer you to Arusha city to  Mount Meru Hotel  for dinner and overnight. Our driver will display your group name on an signboard. These procedures ensure that you are picked up by the correct driver, rather than by some of the airport taxi drivers who are looking for business. You’ll get a chance for Safari briefing/introduction before your dinner.

DAY 02: Arusha to Arusha National Park

Distance: 51 Km
Non – game viewing time: 1 hrs

After breakfast with picnic lunch the tour depart for Arusha National Park. The topography of this small park is amazingly varied including grassy plains, montane forest, volcanic craters, swamps, and saline lakes. On clear days you have excellent views of Mount Meru and of Mount Kilimanjaro. From this park hope to see giraffe, buffalo and black and white colobus monkeys, as well as some of the shy forest antelope – bushbuck, red duiker and maybe suni. You will have three activities to do in this park as follow.

Walking Tour: At the Momella Gate, an armed ranger will be waiting for you to accompany you on the walking safari that will give you the chance to experience the wildlife up-close. Only a few other national parks in Tanzania give you such an opportunity and it is something that should not be missed.

Canoeing Momella Lake (Arusha National Park)

Enjoy a peaceful and scenic canoeing safari following the shorelines of small Momella Lake. On this 2- 2.5 hours canoe safari you can view buffaloes, bushbuck, giraffes, hippos and many water birds living in and close to the water.

Game Drive: Get back to your safari vehicle so that you may continue with game drive before you head back to Arusha see giraffe, buffalo and black and white colobus monkeys, as well as some of the shy forest antelope – bushbuck, red duiker and other animals. The national park is inhabited by over 400 different migrant and resident bird species. The most famous bird species in the Arusha National Park are water fowls such as little grebes, eagles, poachers, geese, hamerkop, red shark, spurwinged goose, woodpecker, herons, secretary bird and grey parrot. Later evening you will drive back to Mount Meru Hotel for Dinner and Overnight.

DAY 03: Arusha to Tarangire National Park.

Distance: 130 Km
Non – game viewing time: 2 – 3 hrs

After breakfast the tour departs. First stop is Arusha Town for any last minute purchases before you head off on safari. Afterwards you head towards the Tarangire National Park for a game drive with picnic lunch at the park. Tarangire is well known for its huge elephant population and baobab trees. It forms the center of an annual migratory cycle that includes up to 3000 elephants, 25,000 wildebeest and 30,000 zebras. In Tarangire National Park northern Tanzania’s you will enjoy finest birding. The low baobab-clad plains and fever-tree groves here support many cool species including three Tanzanian endemics and near-endemics: Over 550 bird’s species found in the park including Ashy Starling, Yellow-collared Lovebird, and Rufus-tailed Weaver. The lush grasses are full of ground birds like Northern White-bellied Bustard and both Red-necked and Yellow-necked Francolins and many others. Later afternoon you will drive to Karatu to  Ngorongoro Oldean Mountai Lodge for Dinner and Overnight.

DAY 04: Tarangire to Lake Eyasi.

Distance: 110km
Non – game viewing time: 2 -3hrs

Walking Tour

After breakfast you will heard to Lake Eyasi is a very scenic soda lake found on the southern border of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This less visited lake lies at the base of the Eyasi escarpment on the western rift valley wall. This afternoon you will be introduced to the extraordinary people who belong to an indigenous tribe known as the ‘Hadzabe’ (hunter-gatherer Bushmen). The tribe inhabits the shores of Lake Eyasi as do the Nilotic-speaking Datoga tribe. You will visit these tribes, which will include a visit to their homesteads, learn about their way of life, animal tracking, medicinal plants, and much more. Some wildlife and a wide range of bird species can be viewed during walks around the lake, which can be arranged. During late afternoon you’ll drive back to Karatu at Ngorongoro Oldean Mountai Lodge Dinner and Overnight.

DAY 05: Lake Eyasi to Serengeti National Park.

Distance: 145 Km
Non – game viewing time: 3 – 4 hrs

After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, you descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. Then heard to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. Arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti national park. Early evening you’ll drive to Ole Serai Luxury Tented Camp for Dinner and Overnight.

DAY 0 6:  Full Day Central Serengeti  

Morning Balloon Safari at Western Corridor of Serengeti (Central Serengeti) after breakfast you’ll transferred by you safari driver/guide to balloon starting where you’ll be able to capture aerial pictures. (OPTIONAL)

After breakfast, you will have a full day game drive in Central Serengeti for the full day game drive. Apart from the large mammals, Serengeti is also home to gaudy agama lizards; Rock hyraxes scuffle around the surfaces of the park’s isolated granite kopjes. Wide varieties of dung beetle were found, and around 500 bird species have been recorded ranging from the outsized ostrich and bizarre secretary bird of the open grassland, to the black eagles that soar effortlessly above the Lobo Hills. During early evening after extensive game drive you’ll drive back to Ole Serai Luxury Tented Camp for Dinner and Overnight

DAY 07: Central Serengeti to Ngorongoro Area. 

Distance: 145km 
Non – game viewing time: 3 – 4 hrs 

After tasty breakfast early in the morning you will have game drive in Serengeti, you might be able to see predators hunting or coming from hunting. Then after the tour will depart to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will stopover at Olduvai Gorge, boasting with a history dating back to the dawn of time. It was here, that the anthropologists Drs. Lois and Mary Leakey discovered the skulls of ‘Nutcracker Man’ and ‘Handy Man’, both very significant links in the chain of human evolution .Late afternoon transfer toNgorongoro Sopa Lodge where you will have your Dinner and Overnight while the lodge gives you good sight for sunset.

DAY 08: Ngorongoro Crater to Karatu.

Distance: 145 Km
Non – game viewing time: 3 – 4 hrs

After an early breakfast with your picnic lunch box from your lodge, you’ll descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro conservation Area supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park, is it’s dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. You’ll visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually been seen here. Late afternoon after extensive game drive you’ll drive back to Karatu to  Ngorongoro Oldean Mountain Lodge for Dinner and Overnight.

DAY 09: Karatu to Lake Manyara National Park.

Distance: 50 Km

After breakfast the tour depart to Lake Manyara park. The tour will start by walking in the park which conducted under the care and perfect security from the park ranger.Being so high up in the trees offers a unique perspective from which to observe the wildlife: it’s not often that you’re at eye level with the birds and monkeys. With Lake Manyara known for its great variety of birdlife, along with blue and vervet monkeys, and huge troops of baboons, there’s plenty to look out for with the help of your guide.

Elephant and buffalo are known to wander through the forest area where the walkway is situated, so you may be lucky enough to catch sight of them from above. From your quiet vantage point above the forest floor, you may even spy some of the more shy species too, such as dik dik and other flighty antelope.

Half Day Game Drive:

Then you will be back to your vehicle ready for game drive in the lake manyara. Lake Manyara National Park offers breathtaking views and a large variety of habitats. Acacia woodlands, water forests, baobab strewn cliffs, algae-streaked hot springs, swamps and the lake itself. And thanks to this the small Park is able to support a large number of animal species and incredible bird life. Manyara has the largest concentration of baboons anywhere in the world, also include Buffalo, Elephant Wildebeest, Zebra, Waterbuck, Warthog, Impala and also Manyara health population lion are famous for their tree-climbing antics.

DAY 10: Masai Boma Visiting-Culture Tour to Arusha

After breakfast to your lodge the tour will depart to Manyara Masai Boma. This is one of our most popular Culture tours in the Masai tribe, which is based around a traditional Masai Boma (dwelling). This tour is led by Masai local guide and you will be told about tribal customs and the methods in which they build their dwellings. You will be welcomed by beautiful songs while dancing. Here you will be able to learn Masai culture and their daily activities as

  1. Learning how the Masai Women Milking in the morning
  2. Enjoy having Masai Dancing and Traditional Songs
  3. Learn How to make Masai Jewelry
  4. Distribution of Work according to age (Ngayon-Moran-Laibon-Leigwanan)

Early afternoon after this culture outdoor you’ll drive back to Arusha to Mount Meru Hotel for Dinner and Overnight.

DAY 11: Departure from Arusha to JRO Airport.

OPTIONAL (GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY)

You can also arrange to visit girls center Inuka Tusonge Foundation (ITF) and spent at least one hour with underprivileged girls and share some ideas with them while having a cup of African coffee, which arranged by the company before you leave to the airport.

Or go direct to the JRO Airport.

After tasty breakfast from the hotel in Arusha you will be picked up for the transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO) where you’ll board your flight back to your lovely country with good memorable of Africa
